Last competition of the year!
Today the last competition fore the season was held in planica, Slovenia. Planica is a very difficult hill they say because of the radius in the inrun. After the organizers decided to build some smaler hills beside the ski flying hill, they cut down the wood on one side. Then it comes wind from the side and it was some waiting this weekend. But nothing considered to last season and the wond corridor.
The solvenian population continued the celebration from yesterday team competition and are now celebrating that Jurij Tepers won his first world cup victory. Rune Velta improved from a 6th place in the first round to a 2nd place in the final round. The rest of the norwegian guys did also a good job today and sneak up on team Austria in the nation cup and won! Congrats! Peter prevc grabbed the third place today with some good jumps and Noriaki kasai captured the fourth place also today.
I'm going to write on the blog evwn if the season is over, so stay tuned! ;D

Last team competition of the year! :'(
This morning the last team competition for this season was held. Slovenia was outstanding! The team fro Norway was a team without Anders Jacobsen but still they captured the second place. Austria grabbed the last podium place and lost some of the lead in the nation cup to Norway. But today Slovenia was amazing! Congratulations a lot to them and the other guys! Good luck in tomorrow's competition! :D
First of the last
Today the first of the last competitions this season came through. Planica is a big and not so cind hill, with step inrun and a k-point at 185 meters.
First round ot was just a few jumps over 200 meters and no injuries. Anders Jacobsen had a bad jump in the first round and felt he had to catch up a bit. And it's no happy ending on this story for him. He hurt his knee and had to go to surgery.
If Gregor Schlierenzauer wasn't historical when he passed matti nykenens record with 46 world cup victories his definitely historical now! First man woth 50! He is such a great jumper and I think in the future, it's going to be hard to beat that.
Peter prevc took a good second place today and Piotr Zyla ceep on doing te good things from last weekend and vame on third place. The veteran from japan, Nkriaki Kasai, came on fourth place and shows us that even if he is old compered to the other guys he can be good to!

Season finale!
Did you watch the last qualification this season? I'm going to watch it now in about an hour because then it's on TV. It's a kind of sad that the season is over this weekend, but in a cuple of months the summer jumping starts. That is not quite fun as the world cup. It's not so important for the atleths.

Finland!
Last weekend and earlier this week the boys where in Lahti and Koupio, Finland. competitions went great this year without so much wind. Saturday it was the second last team competition for this season and the germans where very the strongest. Norway got revenge from Val Di Fiemme and grabbed the silver. Poland has a upcoming team now and are showing good progress in the whole team and then deserved the third place.
Sunday was individual. and FOUR guys on the podium! that is rare! Richard Freitag won for the third time in world cup and Anders Bardal came on second place. On third place it was two guys, Anders Jacobsen and Severin Freund. so this podium was German/Norwegian!
In Koupio the world champion from large hill was best again. Kamil Stoch won and Daiki Ito from Japan came second. uplifting for him and whole Japan. he has not have the best season this year. Severin Freund captured the third place and have been on the podium in every competition in Finland this year.

Team competition! DISASTER
THAT IS WHAT THE WHOLE WORLD THOUGHT FOR A WHILE! BUT NOO!! the organizers had done a mistake with the points, and Norway got too many plus points. and since it was so close between the four countries in the top, Norway fell down to a fourth place and Germany climbed up to silver. Poland was probably the happiest of them all because they reached the podium.
