First of the last

Today the first of the last competitions this season came through. Planica is a  big and not so cind hill, with step inrun and a k-point at 185 meters.
First round ot was just a few jumps over 200 meters and no injuries.  Anders Jacobsen had a bad jump in the first round and felt he had to catch up a bit. And it's no happy ending on this story for him. He hurt his knee and had to go to surgery.

If Gregor Schlierenzauer wasn't historical when he passed matti nykenens record with 46 world cup victories his definitely historical now! First man woth 50! He is such a great jumper and I think in the future, it's going to be hard to beat that.

Peter prevc took a good second place today and Piotr Zyla ceep on doing te good things from last weekend and vame on third place. The veteran from japan, Nkriaki Kasai, came on fourth place and shows us that even if he is old compered to the other guys he can be good to!

  1. Have in mind that Schlirenzauer is only 23 years old, so he is just entering his mature years as a jumper.

I remember when he was just a debutant in World Cup, he was just 16 years old, but already showing his talent.

Since then he proved himself as probably the best jumper ever: he was at or very near the top.

As for Kasai, I admire him also, not only as a ski jumping fan, but also a man who is just 2 years older than him. He proves that man over 40 years can be top sportsman: banzai Kasai!

Yes, many who are half his age are far below in performance, and many retire in their thirties.
