this year's "moment"

Hi guys! ;) I thought that we could declare this year's moment! What is the most beautiful, funniest or most historical thing that happend this season?  was it when Fettner landed on one ski or that Schlierenzauer took the record from matti nykenen with 50 world cup victories. It could be anything but I need some help from you people to find that moment :)

Coment below and we can find out what the ski jumping moment this year was!  Thank you!

Last competition of the year!

Today the last competition fore the season was held in planica, Slovenia.  Planica is a very difficult hill they say because of the radius in the inrun. After the organizers decided to build some smaler hills beside the ski flying hill, they cut down the wood on one side. Then it comes wind from the side and it was some waiting this weekend.  But nothing considered to last season and the wond corridor.
The solvenian population continued the celebration from yesterday team competition and are now celebrating that Jurij Tepers won his first world cup victory. Rune Velta improved from a 6th place in the first round to a 2nd place in the final round. The rest of the norwegian guys did also a good job today and  sneak up on team Austria in the nation cup and won! Congrats! Peter prevc grabbed the third place today with some good jumps and Noriaki kasai captured the fourth place also today.

I'm going to write on the blog evwn if the season is over, so stay tuned!  ;D
Comment under if ther is anything!  Lov tk hear from you!

Last team competition of the year! :'(

This morning the last team competition for this season was held. Slovenia was outstanding! The team fro  Norway was a team without Anders Jacobsen but still they captured the second place.  Austria grabbed the last podium place and lost some of the lead in the nation cup to Norway.  But today Slovenia was amazing!  Congratulations a lot to them and the other guys! Good luck in tomorrow's competition!  :D

First of the last

Today the first of the last competitions this season came through. Planica is a  big and not so cind hill, with step inrun and a k-point at 185 meters.
First round ot was just a few jumps over 200 meters and no injuries.  Anders Jacobsen had a bad jump in the first round and felt he had to catch up a bit. And it's no happy ending on this story for him. He hurt his knee and had to go to surgery.

If Gregor Schlierenzauer wasn't historical when he passed matti nykenens record with 46 world cup victories his definitely historical now! First man woth 50! He is such a great jumper and I think in the future, it's going to be hard to beat that.

Peter prevc took a good second place today and Piotr Zyla ceep on doing te good things from last weekend and vame on third place. The veteran from japan, Nkriaki Kasai, came on fourth place and shows us that even if he is old compered to the other guys he can be good to!

Season finale!

Did you watch the last qualification this season? I'm going to watch it now in about an hour because then it's on TV.  It's a kind of sad that the season is over this weekend, but in a cuple of months  the summer jumping starts. That is not quite fun as the world cup. It's not so important for the atleths.

Finland!

Last weekend and earlier this week the boys where in Lahti and Koupio, Finland. competitions went great this year without so much wind. Saturday it was the second last team competition for this season and the germans where very the strongest. Norway got revenge from Val Di Fiemme and grabbed the silver. Poland has a upcoming team now and are showing good progress in the whole team and then deserved the third place.
Sunday was individual. and FOUR guys on the podium! that is rare! Richard Freitag won for the third time in world cup and Anders Bardal came on second place. On third place it was two guys, Anders Jacobsen and Severin Freund. so this podium was German/Norwegian!

In Koupio the world champion from large hill was best again. Kamil Stoch won and Daiki Ito from Japan came second. uplifting for him and whole Japan. he has not have the best season this year. Severin Freund captured the third place and have been on the podium in every competition in Finland this year.

Team competition! DISASTER

Close, very close race! Austria was just amazing yesterday! they havent won a team competition the whole season. this is really the time to go proving what they are good for! Manuel Fettner with a Telemark on ONE ski and Thomas Morgenstern hurting his knee. best wishes to him! The fight over the silver and bronze medal stood between Norway, Poland and Germany. but with Anders Jacobsen in the last group for Norway captured the silver. Tom Hilde was a bit sorry over the bad jump in the 2nd round. Germany grabbed the bronze while Poland with thursdays world champion didn't make it to the podium yesterday.

THAT IS WHAT THE WHOLE WORLD THOUGHT FOR A WHILE! BUT NOO!! the organizers had done a mistake with the points, and Norway got too many plus points. and since it was so close between the four countries in the top, Norway fell down to a fourth place and Germany climbed up to silver. Poland was probably the happiest of them all because they reached the podium.

Large Hill - Val di fiemme

What a competition! and what a second round! Today, polish Kamil Stoch was the best and grabbed the gold medal. Peter Prevc from Slovenia ended on second place and shows that he is in a good shape now with being in the podium in both of the individual cometitions in the world championchip. Anders Jacobsen came on third place and got the bronze medal. he in much more comfortable in the big hill and are doing his things better there.              Congratulations to them all three!

Thomas Morgenstern fell in the firs round but after the fall limit. He got a bad start point in the second round with 22nd place. Gregor Schlirenzauer went down on the speed, as usual. but this time the conditions where not good enough so he had a bad start point in the second round too, with 16th place.

you can see the whole result list here: http://www.fisskijumping.com/

Mixed cometition!

Now we are done with the first mixed competition in a world championchip ever! the girls are improving and some of them are jumping longer than the boys today! congrats! Japan are in a very good shape now and especially Sara Takanashi, she had the longest jump today. solid jumping from them. Austria on second place with Morgenstern back on track and Gregor Schlierenzauer always doing what his suppose to do. The girls had quite good jumps today too.

the bronze medal went to Germany! In mixed it's not enough having good boys. you need good girls too.  Norway got the bitter fourth place this time. they said that it was not that they were jumping bad but the other nations where just too good today. yesterday's world champion was of course on the team together with Tom Hilde, Maren Lundby and Anette Sagen.

now the girls are done with there world championchip but the boys have two competitions left. one individual - big hill and one Team competition in the big hill.

                                       Good Luck!

Val di fiemme

What a first day in a world championship!  And what a beautiful day to be a norwegian!  Last time a norwegian was the world champion in small hill was in 1966. And now Anders Bardal is the champion! This is amazing!  Gregor Schlierenzauer was behind with just a couple of points and peter prevec took the third place.

Kamil Stoch was on second place after the first round but because bad out driving and telemark he fell down to 8th place. Thomas Morgenstern havent jumped for quite a time now and did a good "comback" and ended on a 5th place.

Congratulations to all the athletes and to all of you readers; watch the mixed competition tomorrow!

Team tour

I haven't written anything for weeks! sorry! But now i'm going to say something about this years team tour.

Slovenia won the first competition in Willingen and got a good management. but the individual competition there had to be canceled because of strong wind and bad weather.
Next competition was in Klingenthal. the young slovenian Jaka Hvala showed that he is a man that know how to do things. a bit suprising but he has show for a very long time now what he is capable of.
After Klingenthal, Oberstdorf was last stop. Overall Slovenia was leading with about 40 points. after only two jumps Norway had taken into the management. and when the competition was over Team Norway was leading the team tour with 11.2 points and since that was the last in this years tour, they won!

                                  NORWAY IS THE WINNER!!!!!!!

Stay tuned and i promise i will write more!

Today's second competition

The second competition today is now over! Obesity round lasted for almost 2 hours!! This competition was full of short jumps and bad conditions. Gregor schlierenzauer won this competition to so now it's 48 world cup victories! He's just awesome! Jan matura came on the podium for the second time today. Second place in the second competition.  And jurij tepes came third.  Next weekend we hope that the best jumpers from all countries are beck!
Stay tuned!  ;)

2 competitions today!

The first competition is already done. Gregor Schlierenzauer is now historical with 47 wins! So as you probably found out Gregor Schlierenzauer won today's competition. Robert kranjec on second place and Jan matura came third. Andreas Stjernen is really in a good flow now and showing that he is one of Norway's best ski jumpers and are worthy a place on the world cup team.

The next competition starts in about an hour.  This will be very existing!  BUT!  the best Norwegian and Germans are not competing today. And some of the best Austrians aren't competing either.

Sunday and last competition in Vikersund

Sunday was the last competition in Vikersund for this time. The results from the norwegian guys was a little disappointing . Andreas Stjernen was the best in this troop with a fourth place saturday and 8th on sunday.

Last years world champion showed us again that he is awesome. He is the best skiflyer in the world. Gregor Schlierenzauer won saturdays competition and then it was a very close race. with only 1,5 points dividing first and fourth place. that shouldn't  be posible in skiFLYING!

Tom Hilde says that he dont know what's wrong in most of the jumps except the last. There he is sure what is was. that was a crappy jump. Tom, Anders Bardal and Anders Jacobsen are not competing next weekend. they have to find back the good shape for the world championship in Val Di Fiemme in a couple of weeks.

Here is a video from Tom Hilde. ;) Enjoy!

VIKERSUND!

I forgot to write after yesterday's qualification....  anyway,  today was an amazing competition! Andreas Stjernen was really surprising the whole world with showing that he is a very hood ski flyer! Gregor Schlierenzauer won his 46 world cup victory, and have the same as matti matti nykänen. Gregor is the best ski jumper though the whole time! Simon Ammann is amazing ski flyer!  It may be different athletes that are on the top in ski jumping and ski flying. Simon came third and last years world champion came third.
Gregor jumped 240 meters today and had the longest in the competition!  Tomorrow is going to be awesome! Andreas Stjernen took a personal best yesterday and again today!

very soon it's competitions in Vikersund (<3) a place i really like!
Friday it's qualification in the world biggest hill. Saturday and sunday it will be individual competitions so no team competition this year.

Vikersund hill is now 5 meters longer so this year we are really hoping for a new world record. I have that problem that I want Johan Remen Evensen to still have the record but it would be awesome with a jump over 250 meters!!!! the one who jumps over that limit will be historical!

SO! don't miss this weekend in vikersund! maybe you miss the new world record then!

we can warm up with a video from Vikersund, then we are sure we all are ready.

Team competition in Zakopane

Today it was a new team competition in Poland, Zakopane.
It was very dramatic for the norwegians tonight because of the problems Tom Hilde had in his last jump!
Gregor Schlirezauer was  unfortunately sick also today, so he was not competing. Slovenia is back in bussines and are showing strength  now! Poland is now proving that they have more then just Adam Malyz and they came on a pretty good second place. Austria without Schlierenzauer finished third place, todays team from Austria was Wolfgang Loitzl, Andreas Kofler, Thomas Morgenstern and Stefan Kraft ;)
Team Norway was Rune Velta, Tom Hilde, Anders Jacobsen and Anders Bardal. A medium good competition except Hildes last jump.

Tomorrow it is the individual competition, so stay tuned!

Congratulation to Gregor! !

I have to start with saying congratulations to Gregor Schlierenzauer!  He is an amazing ski jumper! He has been on the podium every second competition he has competed in!  And that is awesome. The only thing he hasn't won is a individual gold medal in Olympics :) he also won the four hills tournament last year and leading the world cup now. He is the best ski jumper fore now. But Jacobsen is getting there. Anders took the second place in the fht and Tom Hilde came third.  Is was very nerve wracking today in the competition.  Was it Schlierenzauer or was it Jacobsen that was going to be standing on the top after the competition.  Schlierenzauer was best today.  So congrats to him and I wish his a happy birthday tomorrow! You are impressive!

Pause

Gregor Schlierenzauer is leading the last competition and overall in the 4ht.  BUT Anders Jacobsen is second in both. It's 11.5 points between those 2 in the overall.  I have to say as a Norwegian, that I hope Anders will win this.
In the first round Anders and Gregor had different conditions since it was some jumpers between them. Now as they are first and second. Gregor jumps after Anders and then they will have the same conditions.

Final competition...

The last competition in this years four hills tournament is starting any minute!   just turn on the tv and sit down!

I just have to wish all the athletes good luck! :)

Saturday, January 5, 2013

I just have to say! What a  qualification!  Both the 2 favorites came a bit down on the list and Wolfgang Loitzl won the quali. Anders Jacobsen finished at 6th and Gregor Schlierenzauer finished at 37th place!! :O
Tomorrow's competition will be the most existing competition in a very long time! I'm going to be stuck in front of the tv.

Who do you think will win this years four hills tournament? Comment under ;)

Qualification in Bischofshofen

Qualification in progress! Maybe Anders Jacobsen will pas the quali, then he risks to jump against Gregor Schlierenzauer tomorrow in the knockout system. Very interesting!
